Video Of The Week— Women’s Health
Upper Hudson Planned Parenthood TV Spot
Typically, when people think of Planned Parenthood, they think of young girls, birth control, and abortions. The goal of this video was to change that perception and increase awareness of all health services Planned Parenthood offers to women of all ages.
This video features patients that were willing to come forward and speak about their personal health issues to make women feel more comfortable visiting Planned Parenthood and to educate them on what services are offered, such as cervical cancer screenings, breast exams, pap smears, vaccines, and the diagnosis of various health problems. This video is a reminder to women of all ages and demographics that Planned Parenthood is there for them, even when traditional doctor offices are not.
This TV spot was shown on broadcast and cable TV, in rich media banner ads, on YouTube, and on Planned Parenthood’s Facebook page during a period when, nationally, Planned Parenthood was under attack by organizations, politicians and individuals seeking to stop its funding.
In April 2012, this television spot was awarded Planned Parenthood’s highest honor for branch marketing.
