Medical system marketing highlights nationally-recognized stroke care
Agency Launches Ellis Medicine’s 2013 Neuroscience Marketing Campaign
“Well, I didn’t think that I would have a stroke at this age,” said Yvette Cuttita, patient of Ellis Medicine and the face of its 2013 neuroscience marketing campaign. Her unique story is featured in an integrated campaign including online advertising, long-form web videos, television spots, print, outdoor, and transit advertising.
The campaign, created by healthcare marketing agency Smith & Jones, launched this month and positions Ellis Medicine as a leader in stroke and neurosciences care, and only minutes away when community members like Yvette need care.
“I had a feeling that she was going through a stroke; it was hard for me to believe, being so young, but I immediately turned around and headed for Ellis Hospital,” said Yvette’s husband, Bob Cuttita.
The team at Ellis administered a clot-busting drug called tPA (tissue plasminogen activator) that stopped the stroke and prevented further physical damage. Yvette temporarily lost her ability to speak after the stroke, but because of the quick response of the Ellis team and ongoing therapy, she has regained her speech and continues to progress every day.
Yvette’s story is just one example of how the nationally-recognized Stroke Center at Ellis is “lightyears ahead, minutes away,” as described in the marketing campaign.
