A most recent finding on binge-watching associated people who binge on television with depression, loneliness and an inability to control their behavior. But as with any new social phenomenon, scientists are scrambling to catch up with human behavior. And when it comes to binge-watching, researchers readily admit that they’re not there yet.

The nature of the binge – indulging in an activity to excess – is antithetical to optimal health (mental or physical). With the proliferation of access to media – Hulu, Netflix, and your DVR – it’s easier than ever to over indulge in your favorite show. Regardless of the emerging science, every once in a while disable autoplay and go for a walk.
