Healthcare Marketing Specialists Recognized in 2013 Aster Awards
Smith & Jones Awarded Four Asters for its Work with a Local Hospital System
Smith & Jones, a healthcare marketing agency in Troy, NY, received four awards in the 2013 Aster Awards for its work with Ellis Medicine. The agency took home two Golds, one Silver, and one Bronze across various campaigns in the 300-499 beds group.
The Aster Awards is a medical marketing and advertising competition that reviews entries from across the world. It is hosted by Creative Images, Inc., a firm that specializes in strategic healthcare marketing.
Smith & Jones won Gold for Ellis Medicine’s 2012 Neuroscience campaign in the Service Line category, and Bellevue Woman’s Center Birthstone Charm in the Advertising Specialty category.
The 2012 Neuroscience campaign features Kevin Keelan, a patient at Ellis Medicine, who was rushed to the hospital for emergency brain surgery after his wife noticed that his motor skills weren’t quite right. Kevin’s story was told through a long-form web video, and television commercials, posters, print ads, online display ads, and Facebook ads that drove people to the Ellis website to watch his story. The website also featured information about the brain, spine, and nerve care available at Ellis.
The Bellevue Woman’s Center Birthstone Charm was a gift to new mothers after they delivered their babies at Bellevue. Each mother received a charm with the birthstone of the month her new baby was born. This was part of a gift bag that included a “Bellevue Baby” embroidered swaddling blanket, “Bellevue Baby on Board” car window cling, spa basket, lunch bag, and thank-you note. This entire gift bag was just one part of a multi-channel maternity marketing campaign that focused on patient-centered care and delivery options.
Smith & Jones won the Silver award in the Transit category for the Ellis Medicine 2012 cardiac bus advertising, and won the Bronze award in the Logo Design/Letterhead category for the Ellis Medicine Care Central Logo.
