Sean Fitzpatrick is Chief Marketing Officer at Overit and a brand strategist for Smith & Jones, where he leads positioning and growth strategies for hospitals, health systems, and mission-driven health organizations. With more than 20 years of experience in marketing leadership, Sean specializes in elevating brands at the intersection of health, education, and the public good.
Sean brings to healthcare a track record of building integrated, insight-driven campaigns that generate momentum across complex stakeholder ecosystems. He’s held senior marketing roles in higher education, conservation, and technology—most notably leading marketing for The Nature Conservancy in New England, where he directed a multi-year brand engagement campaign that garnered Hatch Awards and more than 50 million impressions across digital, broadcast, and event channels. His work for clients such as Amtrak, Renaissance Hotels, Hannaford, and Certify has ranged from rebrands to digital ecosystem design, PR partnerships, and performance marketing strategy.
At Smith & Jones, Sean applies this multidisciplinary lens to healthcare—developing brand platforms, messaging frameworks, and campaign architecture that reflect the values of modern patients while advancing the strategic goals of provider systems and health-focused nonprofits. Whether crafting recruitment initiatives, launching service lines, or repositioning brands to compete more effectively in crowded markets, Sean brings the rigor of a strategist with the heart of a storyteller.
He holds a Master of Science in Leadership from Golden Gate University and a B.A. in Liberal Studies from Excelsior College. Based in Freeport, Maine, Sean lives in a 19th-century farmhouse with his wife, children, and too many pets to name. Outside of work, you’ll find him running, paddling, or hiking Maine’s rugged coastlines and backwoods trails.
