Conference Identity Featured in LOGO LOUNGE MASTER Library SERIES
A brand identity developed by Smith & Jones will be featured in LogoLounge Master Library Volume 4: Typography and Enclosures, part of a reference series on logo and identity design. The logo was developed for Insights User Conference, an annual event for GIS professionals and business analysts. The conference is presented by Pitney Bowes Business Insight for users of their business intelligence and customer communications products.
“We are honored that the Insights User Conference logo was selected for inclusion in the LogoLounge Master Library series,” said Smith & Jones’ Principal Artist, Sara Tack. “The LogoLounge database contains almost 150,000 logo designs, so to be among just 3,000 chosen for this book is quite an accomplishment. And while being recognized by the international design community is a source of pride,” she continues, “we feel it’s even more important to always deliver distinctive, differentiating design for our clients’ brands.”
“The Insights User Conference identity was designed to create awareness and excitement for the conference’s new format, expanded content and offerings for customer insiders, Tack explains. “We wanted the logo to impart that this was something new, that it was an entry into deeper understanding, and that it was going to be fun. From the inverted ‘i’ creating an exclamation point to the implied doorway and the bright colors, the logo is lively, engaging and provocative – just the characteristics that the conference planners hoped to communicate to potential attendees,” Tack concluded.
The fourth title in the popular seven-book series, LogoLounge Master Library 4: Typography and Enclosures collects 3,000 outstanding logo designs selected from the LogoLounge.com database. This book follows Master Library Volume 1: Initials and Crests, Volume 2: Animals and Mythology, and Volume 3: Shapes and Symbols. With more than 140,000 logos in its ever-growing online logo database, LogoLounge has become an indispensable research tool for any logo designer.
