Kieselstein Law Firm brand identity featured in Logo Lounge: Book 6

A corporate identity program created by Smith & Jones is featured in LogoLounge: Book 6, the new volume of the definitive reference series on logo and identity design. The identity was developed as part of the Troy, NY agency’s branding project for Kieselstein Law Firm, a partnership specializing in distressed debt transactions.

“We are honored that the Kieselstein identity was recognized by the international design community for inclusion in the LogoLounge book,” said Smith & Jones’ Principal Artist, Sara Tack. “The practice’s unique specialty and business philosophy called for a truly distinguishing brand. Distressed debt law requires a powerful mix of know-how and fresh thinking. You really need to know your stuff, but think out of the box,” she added.

“We designed the Kieselstein brand to feel sophisticated and smart – the color palette, the typography, the whole identity. The bold and powerful letter K cleverly creates an open-ended, three-dimensional square. The brown, dark grey and rustic orange palette is not only unique but implies richness and strength. This isn’t a straight-laced, conservative law firm,” Tack observes, “You have to have guts to use those colors.
