Agency announces Jonathan Root as Marketing Director
Sales professional Jonathan Root has joined advertising and brand strategy agency Smith & Jones, the firm announced today. He will be responsible for marketing and new business development; presenting the agency’s results-oriented advertising and branding approach and directing projects into the agency pipeline. He will be based in the agency’s headquarters in Troy, New York.

Before coming to Smith & Jones, Root was an account executive for an online advertising and networking portal for technical professionals. On his way to becoming Rookie of the Year for that organization, he refined their selling approach and quickly became their top salesperson. His achievements in previous positions include building an online retail bookstore and implementing an environmentally efficient print marketing strategy for the publishing industry.

Root received a Bachelors degree in History from the State University of New York at New Paltz, where, besides making the Dean’s List for seven semesters, he learned to exceed quotas and expectations.
