Brains Over Brawn Podcast features hospital marketing experts from all over the country

Smith & Jones recently released a hospital marketing podcast aimed at helping hospitals and health systems outsmart their competitors. In Brains Over Brawn, Smith & Jones President David Vener meets up with hospital marketers from all over the country to discuss successful strategies and tactics.

“The podcast intends to keep listeners up-to-date on the latest in hospital marketing trends and give them an idea of what other marketers are doing right,” David Vener said. “Over the course of the year, I’ve met some pretty incredible people who provided insight into how they manage their marketing efforts and deliver outstanding results.”

Available on our website, the first podcast features Michael Sluzar from Barnabas Health. Michael talks about an internal alignment campaign he conducted, which consists of 21,000 employees and many hospitals. He provides tips on how to align staff with an umbrella brand and report results up the ladder.

The next episode features Nick Carranza of Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. Nick talks about how to use different digital and social tactics to engage audiences. He also discusses how his team translates sensitive topics into content that is relatable to consumers.

Additionally, David meets up with one of our own  Smith & Jones Account Manager Braden Russom to talk about SEO.  The two exchange ideas about mobile search and how population health content can help prepare hospitals for the future.
