Marketing Communications Internship

For Summer 2018 please apply by April 10, 2018

This internship is open to second semester Juniors and Seniors only. Student needs good writing, organizational, research and management skills.  Ability to blog, and create social media content important. Know how to use a spreadsheet, find good secondary research on Google, use and analyze Google Analytics, request information and compile it in a way that is concise and takes five minutes to review. Manage, compile meeting agendas and notes. For the right person, this could turn into a full-time position after graduation. Internships require a minimum of 16 hours a week . Mac experience is a plus.

Student Internships are non-paid and are administered in conjunction with your College or University for academic credit only. The student is to acquire and fill out all necessary paper work as required by their school and is responsible for submitting to Smith & Jones any documentation including evaluations mandated by the school to receive proper credit. Acceptance into an internship program at Smith & Jones in no way constitutes an agreement for future employment. All work performed by the student during their internship remains the property of Smith & Jones. Any and all information the student comes in contact with during the internship tenure regarding Smith & Jones, its clients and vendors is strictly confidential.

  • Excellent writing skills
  • Strong oral communication skills
  • Organized and able to multi-task
  • Proficiency with spreadsheets
  • Self-starter / work ethic
  • Relevant coursework in marketing communications, advertising, business and/or research related to new media
  • 3.0 average or better

Work schedule:

Internship requires a minimum of 16-20 hours a week, between the hours of 9am-5pm, Monday – Thursday. in a minimum of four hour increments.
